Anthony has been around the Sun 34 times

In keeping with my New Years Resolution (see the New Year's post below), we had sushi again for my birthday. I've got a maple bacon bar from Voodoo Doughnuts in one hand and some of my favorite music in the form of vinyl in the other hand. Jen hand-picked some of my favorite beverages, including some amazing sake, which we opened right away to wash down the sushi. What a way to celebrate another trip around the star we call Sun.

  1. I am eating sushi as I read this post..mmm. So, I think I need more details about this maple bacon bar? Like a doughnut with bacon? I love the way you describe things...a year as a trip around the star we decided to call Sun...

  5. Is that the Pearl Sake by Momokawa. That stuff is the bomb. I love the hints of anise towards the end and it is super mild. For a real treat cut up some onions and tomatoes and saute them with it until the sake boils off to a thin syrup. Then lay it over a fried egg for breakfast. Of course have a shot at hand to wash it all down.
